President and Chief Investment Officer

Michael oversees the people and policies of the Trust and Investment Management Services Department and manages the individual investment holdings of Charlotte State Bank & Trust’s Trust clients. His clients include individuals, families, foundations, and institutions throughout the state of Florida.

Michael serves on the Tampa Bay Committee of Foreign Relations, is a member of the Board of Directors of Parkland Estates Civic Club, is Finance Committee Chairman and member of the Board of Directors for Chapters Healthcare  Systems, which serves Hillsborough, Polk, Hardee, Highlands, Hernando and Pasco counties with medical and hospice services. In addition he is Past-Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Historic Bok Tower Gardens in Lake Wales and  former president of both the Harvard Club of Central Florida and the Harvard Club of the West Coast of Florida. Michael is a 2005 Graduate of Leadership Tampa Bay.

Lory manages the daily operations of Trust and Investment Management Services division to help coordinate the diverse services provided. She has more than 25 years of banking and financial experience, the last 15 of which have been with Charlotte State Bank & Trust. During this time, she has served in a variety of capacities with advancing responsibilities. Her knowledge of operations provides the resources necessary to lead a team of professionals to offer banking and trust products and services with a high degree of personal attention.

Lory is a graduate of:

  • Florida Bankers Association’s Graduate School of Banking, University of Florida, Gainesville, FL
  • Florida Bankers Association’s Trust School, University Of South Florida, Tampa, FL

Christine utilizes her extensive financial and estate planning experience to develop new client relationships at Charlotte State Bank & Trust’s Trust and Investment Management Services division, including Living Trusts, IRA Rollovers, Investment Management Services and Charitable Giving Strategies.

Christine has graduated from:

She is a former member of the board of directors of the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra and the Visual Arts Center’s Executive Committee. She is a former member of the Development Committee of the Charlotte County Jazz Society. Christine moved to Charlotte County in 1994.

Cindee is experienced in all aspects of estate planning.  An attorney, she has created estate plans and drafted wills, living trusts and powers of attorney. She has an extensive background in the areas of Wills, Trusts, Estates and Elder Law.

As a Trust Officer, Cindee administers accounts and acts as an estate representative, trustee or guardian of property.  She works with new and existing clients to serve as a point of contact and ensure that trust and investment management documentation is properly administered and that her clients’ wishes are carried out.

Cindee’s education and experience includes:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations with a minor in Marketing from the University of Florida, Gainesville, FL
  • Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida, Gainesville, FL
  • Graduate of Leadership Charlotte, class of 1992 (class president)
  • Member, the Florida Bar
  • Twelve years experience with the Farr Law Firm in Charlotte County

Prior to joining Charlotte State Bank & Trust, Cindee followed a lifelong dream of opening her own business.  She and her husband Dennis opened Pies & Plates in Punta Gorda. They grew the business into one of Punta Gorda’s most popular eateries and retail stores, winning many awards. Pies and Plates was named Business of the Year by both the Charlotte County and Punta Gorda Chambers of Commerce and Retailer of the Year for Leadership by the Florida Retail Federation.

Samuel graduated from Charlotte High School after moving to Charlotte County in 1988. Before starting at Charlotte State Bank & Trust, he worked in Collier and Lee counties and worked in private banking and wealth management for over 10 years. During that tenure, he held the following nonprofit positions,

  • Vice Chairman and Investment Committee Chairman for the Cape Coral Community Foundation
  • Executive Board of Directors and Finance Committee Chairman for the Lee County YMCA

In her capacity as Trust Officer, Terri administers accounts and acts as an estate representative, trustee, guardian of property or investment management agent. She works with new and existing clients, serving as a point of contact and ensuring that trust and investment management documentation is properly administered and that her clients’ wishes are carried out.

Terri has an extensive background in trust services, having held positions as Portfolio and Administrative Associate, Senior Trust Manager and Trust Portfolio Manager.

Terri’s education and certifications include:

Martha has more than 20 years of business and accounting experience as an Office Manager. Most recently, she has served clients as a Trust Administrator for six-plus years. Her experience enables her to provide excellent support to clients as well as the Trust and Investment Management Services team.

Martha successfully completed the Basics Trust Course offered by the Florida Bankers Association.

Her responsibilities include general administrative duties, responding to client inquiries and requests, maintaining original documents and client files, managing correspondence and recording meeting minutes. Her communication, organizational, and analytical skills, combined with her professional experience, enhances our ability to help our clients obtain their trust, estate planning, and investment management goals.

Trust Operations Specialist

Angie·supports department operations such as daily balancing and settlement functions. She delivers and receives client assets and maintains a master security file as well as tax and probate information. She also assists clients with inquiries, requests and support.

Angie's varied background includes experience in banking, retail sales, administration and customer service. She graduated with honors from Riverview High School in Sarasota, receiving the Presidential Award for high achievement. She is continuing her education and graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University’s Dynamics of Supervision I class.

Brittney has over seven years of banking and financial experience, having held a variety of        positions including operational, investment, retail and customer service.

As an Investment Associate, Brittney supports portfolio matters with trades, requests for information, research, and account problems while working closely with Portfolio Managers to meet the needs and objectives of our clients.  She also serves as Supervisor to the Operations staff.  Brittney has an Associate Degree in Business from the University of Central Florida, specializing in Accounting and Finance. She is very active in the local community and is involved with Higher Ground Performing Arts Center as a creative dance performance instructor.

Her responsibilities include general administrative duties and assisting the Trust and Development Officer in coordination of events, presentations and communications.
